Real Housewives Guide to Park City Utah

I know, I know…But I love the Real Housewives of Bravo! It’s the best “tune out” television you can get! Plus, I’m a sucker for shows and movies filmed where I live. It’s how I got hooked on Shameless, ER, The Bear, and Yellowstone. So, naturally, when one of my favorite TV franchises is filming in my town…count me in! Personally, I think Real Housewives of Chicago would be much more interesting than Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but here we are.

Technically, it’s the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but they spend a lot of time up in Park City, which is way more fun than Salt Lake City. If you want to plan a Housewives-style getaway to Park City, I’ve rounded up all the spots they’ve visited in four seasons. Want to see where Lisa and Whitney had their first heart-to-heart, or find that sick rooftop hot tub where they had Seth’s birthday party? Let’s go, baby gorgeous!

It does seem like Park City is sick of the drama by Season 4. I have been faithfully watching new episodes, and they are definitely not spending as much time up in Park City. By Season 5, they seem to be relegated to state park parking lots. They went to Deer Creek State Park three times in Season 5 – once for their Girl Scout outing and twice for zip lining. However, in Season Six, Park City is frequently seen, including Lisa Barlow’s bar, Premiere Park City.

Make sure you follow my altitude tips for visiting Park City!

Where Do the RHOSLC Live?

Two of the original Housewives lived in Park City, while the rest lived “down in the valley,” which is to say Salt Lake City and surrounding suburbs. Meredith and her family have lived in a couple of homes in Park City, and of course, there is the infamous “Shah Chalet” where the Shah family lived earlier in the series. (They later moved to the valley to downsize and save money for Jen’s trial.) It seems like most of the cast members have upgraded their homes or moved to filming in rentals for privacy and security reasons.

  • Lisa Barlow lives in Draper, a suburban community between Salt Lake City and Provo. She has been on the new Bravo show, Sold in SLC, discussing a new home they are building.
  • With the success of her first book and first few seasons on RHOSLC, Heather Gay recently bought a $3 million house in the Shenandoah Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
  • Whitney Rose lived in Daybreak when the show first started. However, they’ve also upgraded to a new home near Salt Lake City in the last year.
  • “Where does Meredith Marks live?” is always my first question of the season! They shoot in a different home each season, but as far as I can tell, they’ve always stayed in exclusive Park City neighborhoods.
  • New cast member Bronwyn Newport and her husband, Todd, also live on the northeast side of Sale Lake, near the University.
  • Angie Katsanevas lives in Federal Heights, an area of the foothills northeast of Salt Lake City. As of January 2025, they’ve listed their house for sale. Maybe they’ll move to Park City to be near their salon?
  • Mary Cosby lives near City Creek Canyon in Salt Lake City.
  • In Season Six, we meet “Socialite Amy,” who lives on a huge estate in Heber City, which is about 20 miles south of Park City.
  • Season Five and Six “friends” include Britani Bateman, who lives in Provo.
  • Monica Garcia was a one-season-wonder for Season 4. She lives up in Kaysville, which is about 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. (Another reason she had no business on this show!)

North of Salt Lake City, there are a lot of fun things to do in Ogden. The ladies have been skiing at nearby Snowbasin several times.

Park City Main Street

Main Street is the hub of Park City and is lined with art galleries, souvenir shops, restaurants, and boutiques, including the Meredith Marks store at 511 Main Street and Gallery Mar where Lisa and Meredith are seen shopping for Meredith’s new house. Jen Shah also buys snowflake necklaces for the ladies at Baranof Jewelers on Main Street.

If you visited Park City and didn’t go to Main Street, you didn’t really visit Park City. There’s even a Banksy just off Main Street in Park City.

Main Street is also the central location for the Sundance Film Festival. We know Lisa is the Queen of Sundance, so we saw her popping into Riverhorse, 350 Main, and OP Rockwell while preparing for the private events of Sundance in Season 1.

In Season 5, Heather and Lisa shop at the new Kemo Sabe hat store on Main Street. You might recall the Aspen Kemo Sabe location, which was the site of some RHOBH drama with Kyle and her sister, Kathy Hilton.

Wasatch Back Snowmobiling

Snowmobiling is one of my favorite things to do in Park City in winter, and the Park City housewives appear to agree. They’ve been out snowmobiling several times over the years. In fact, Monica met her baby daddy on a snowmobile excursion with Heather. Most local companies offer two-hour snowmobile tours, but I love the longer tours that cover more ground.

Horseback Riding

In season one, some of the ladies go horseback riding in the mountains near Park City. Rumor has it that they joined Rocky Mountain Outfitters at Soldier Hollow for this outing. Horseback riding is one of my favorite things to do in Park City in the summer. Actually, I love horseback riding any time of year. Some of my favorite places for horseback riding near Park City are Soldier Hollow, Sundance Mountain Resort, KB Horses, and North Forty Escapes. So many options!

Goldener Hirsch, An Auberge Resort

Seth’s 49th birthday party was held at the rooftop hot tub of the Goldener Hirsch residences at Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Village. This new addition to the Goldener Hirsch Inn opened in 2020 and is quite different from the original lodge. (Both the Inn and Residences are also the location for Lindsay Lohan’s 2022 movie “Falling for Christmas.”) I have not yet been to the GH Residences, but I’ve dined at Goldener Hirsch a few times. If you’re craving fondue in Park City, the Goldener Hirsch is the place to get it. The dessert fondue is so yummy!

Lodge at Blue Sky, An Auberge Resort

The Wasatch Mountains are home to two Auberge resorts. The Lodge at Blue Sky is about 30 minutes outside of Park City and is super luxurious. It’s one of the most beautiful places to stay in Park City. In Season 2, Lisa hosts a fundraiser here for Utah Foster. And Season 5 opens here with the Besos party. This is also where High West Distillery is located; they have great food and interesting distillery tours.

Lodge at Blue Sky

In Season 6, the ladies return to the Lodge at Blue Sky for some clay shooting followed by Lisa’s “DISMISSED” flip charts.

Deer Valley Sleigh Rides

Meredith had her Bar Mitzvah at Empire Lodge in Deer Valley. She arrives on a horse-drawn sleigh, most likely run by Broken Arrow Sleigh Rides. This is a really fun evening adventure in Deer Valley. The sleigh ride leaves from the back patio of Stein Eriksen Lodge, and there are typically four departure times each evening. If you’re dining at one of the restaurants in Silver Lake Village, the horses can drop you off at dinner! (Psst…I offer Park City concierge services to help with activity and dinner reservations.)

Woodward Park City

Remember when the ladies went snow tubing in Season One? That was Woodward Park City. Woodward is a national chain of indoor adventure parks, with trampolines, skate parks, ramps, and more! Outside, they have the longest tubing lanes in Utah, plus a terrain park for skiers and snowboarders in the winter and mountain bikers in the summer. The ladies also tried out Sno-Go bikes here in Season 2, and Heather had a few ski days here in Season 4.

Later in Season 2, some of the ladies go tubing at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, another great place for snow tubing in Utah!

Midway Ice Castles – closed

Jen and Heather have a private pow-wow in Season 2 at one of the alcoves in the Midway Ice Castles. What makes this Park City attraction so special is that it is at the whim of Mother Nature. In some seasons, they are open for a couple of months, while in warmer seasons, they may only be open for a week or less. Read more in my article for Heber Valley Life Magazine.

Sadly, Ice Castles announced they would not reopen for the 25/26 winter season. They cited increasingly warm temperatures, and a month later, we’re mid-December with 50-degree days and maybe a 10″ snow base.

Ice Fishing at Echo Lake

In Season Two, the ladies try Utah Ice Fishing. They spend the day out on Echo Reservoir at Echo State Park in Coalville, just outside Park City. Ice fishing is one of a handful of Park City winter activities that I’ve yet to try, but I’ll get out there one of these years!

Homestead Crater

Utah Crater is one of several hot springs in Utah. What’s unique about this one is that it’s inside a mineral dome, so you’re not out in the elements. With a constant temperature between 90 and 96 degrees, it’s the perfect place for a soak when it’s cold outside. Located at the Homestead Resort in Midway, the Crater is pretty rustic, with very small changing rooms and storage lockers. You have to book ahead of time, and you get 40 minutes to soak before the next group arrives. You have to wear a life jacket, and you can even book scuba diving sessions! On RHOSLC, Lisa and Whitney come here for Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga in Season 2.

Where Do the Real Housewives Eat in Park City?

If you’re not a local, sometimes it’s hard to tell if they are at Park City restaurants or down in Salt Lake City. The show often shows the “Welcome to Park City” sign and then transitions to a restaurant in Salt Lake City. I don’t spend enough time in Salt Lake City to write that guide! Rest assured, I watched each episode, and these are the Park City restaurants where the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City like to dine and drink.

Concierge Guide to Dining in Park City

Appetizers at Handle Park City

Handle

Handle is one of the best restaurants in Park City. The Housewives are seen many times at both locations: Handle Park City and HSL in Salt Lake City. My vegetarian coworker says this is her favorite restaurant in Park City. I’ll agree…about the only time I eat vegetables is when I visit Handle; the cauliflower is to die for…sweet chili glaze and sriracha vinaigrette. Most recently, I had Christmas dinner at Handle, and it was fabulous as always. Handle reservations are through Resy, and they open up 30 days in advance. If you forget to plan ahead, they do have bar seating that is first-come, first-served.

Alpine Pie Bar

In Season 2, Lisa and Whitney have a face-to-face at Alpine Pie Bar on Main Street. I even recognized my neighbor as their server! Alpine Distilling has since moved to a much larger space on Swede Alley, which is the back side of Main Street. The new space, now called the Park City Social Aid and Pleasure Club, is an amazing space, with cozy chairs set up for intimate conversations. They serve all manner of mixed drinks and pie! The apple pie served with a slice of white cheddar is delish!

  • Boneyard Saloon Rooftop Igloos were the site of lunch with Meredith, Mary, Heather, and Whitney. Sadly, the igloos were not installed this season, but you can still dine at the Boneyard Saloon; no reservations are accepted, walk-in only! For alpenglobe dining, check out Butcher’s Chop House, one of my favorite Park City restaurants.
  • 350Main is where Jen Shah and Brooks have their makeup session; this Main Street restaurant in Park City serves up American cuisine in a large space next to the Egyptian Theatre.
  • Season 3 opens at the Spur Bar & Grill, a Main Street staple where Heather and Lisa meet to discuss Lisa’s “hot mic” moment at the end of Season 2. The Spur is 21+ only and has live music most nights of the week.
  • In the first episode of Season 4, Meredith and Mary meet at Pine Cone Ridge, where Mary complains about the food. Literally every other person I’ve talked to has raved about this place, but of course, it wasn’t up to Mary’s standards, whatever those are.
  • Another scene in S4E1 takes place at the Lakehouse at Deer Creek, where Heather organizes a snowball fight. This is a great spot for dining on the water.
  • Premiere Park City is Lisa Barlow’s cocktail bar and music venue on Main Street. In Season 6, she and Bronwyn meet here to patch up their differences, and you also see Lisa here a few times planning parties.
  • After the flight home from the cruise in Season Six, Mary and Bronwyn meet for lunch at Hearth & Hill, which is one of my favorite restaurants in Kimball Junction. Around the same time, Bronwyn and Whitney have lunch at Le Depot, a new French restaurant on Main Street. Heather and Britani meet up to discuss the cruise at the new Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. So, Park City got lots of Housewife drama again in Season Six!

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Weekend Getaways

Each season has one or two weekend getaways, and there are some great weekend trips from Salt Lake City. The housewives have taken trips to Vail, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale. My favorite Utah weekend getaway, St. George, was the last getaway destination for the ladies of Season 2. They took an ATV tour, went hiking, and had a spiritual ceremony in a labyrinth, like the one shown below.
